Explore SA’s transport future – designed by you!

Ever imagined what the future of South Australia’s transport system could look like? Well, now’s your chance to help shape it—and get a sneak peek of your ideal world in the process.

The State Government is putting together a 30-year Transport Strategy, and they’re asking everyday South Australians (that’s you!) to weigh in with their views.

With options to have your say online and see your preferred future come to life through virtual reality or video, this consultation period isn’t just about talking transport—it’s about imagining it.

What’s the strategy all about?

South Australia’s new Transport Strategy is set to shape our state’s transport network for the next 30 years.

It’s about improving connectivity, boosting safety and making transport more liveable, sustainable and prosperous for everyone. In plain English? It’s about getting you where you need to go, in a way that’s smarter, safer and easier.

This isn’t just about roads or buses—it’s about shaping the way we live, work and connect for decades to come.

And it’s not just the State Government making the decisions. They want to hear directly from the people who will be using SA’s transport network of the future. Whether you care most about faster commutes, better public transport options or more bike lanes, your input will help shape the Transport Strategy’s priorities.

How you can get involved

Until 16 December, South Australians can jump online to rank what’s most important in a transport network.

The transport future quiz is super easy to use, and comes with a very cool final screen: Once you’ve chosen your priorities, you can watch a personalised video showing how your future South Australian transport network could look.

It’s like creating your own vision for the state’s roads, footpaths and transport hubs.

But don’t worry—if there are specific things you feel passionate about, and visuals aren’t your style, you can take an online survey to provide your feedback.

VR sessions: Step into the future

From Adelaide’s Railway Station to Mount Gambier, virtual reality (VR) sessions have been giving South Australians a chance to step into the transport future of their own design during the consultation process.

Just like the online quiz, these immersive experiences let participants rank their priorities and watch their decisions play out—this time in a 3D virtual world.

Check if there’s a VR session near you here for the chance to see your transport vision brought to life in 3D.

Why this matters (and why you should care)

Let’s face it: no one loves being stuck in traffic, missing a bus or dodging potholes. But beyond the daily grind, transport affects everything—from how your UberEATS gets delivered to how quickly you reach the beach on summer holidays.

Your feedback isn’t just about convenience; it’s about creating a safer, more efficient and sustainable South Australia.

By sharing your vision, you can help ensure that the State Government focuses on what truly matters to you and your community. Your input could also guide smarter planning, creating a transport network we can all be happy to use.

Don’t miss out—have your say today!

If you’ve got a vision for what South Australia’s transport network should look like, you have until 16 December to have your say.
