It’s peak season for parties, pageants, pét-nats and pop-ups. From massive gigs and a medieval fair to beach volleyball showdowns and sparkling sunset sessions, November in SA doesn’t hold back. Here’s your guide to the events bringing the heat – before summer even starts.

Feast Festival
1-23 November
This year’s Feast is a milestone – marking 50 years since the decriminalisation of homosexuality in South Australia, and delivering its biggest program in more than a decade. With 117 events across 67 venues, the 2025 theme is “Liberation” – and it shows. Expect cabaret, queer cinema, slam poetry, parties, fashion parades, trivia, erotic pottery, and a rideable pink pony (yes, really). Don’t miss Picnic in the Park on 22 November – a full-day, free-entry celebration in Whitmore Square with food trucks, music, markets and the return of the iconic Feast Dog Show.

Pride March 2025
1 November
South Australia’s biggest single-day Pride celebration is back – and louder than ever. The Pride March is set to take over the East End with a wave of colour, music, movement and proud queer joy. Thousands will walk, roll and dance through the streets to the beat of a live DJ truck – with allies, trailblazers, families and first-timers marching side by side. And when the march ends, the party begins: Poppin Out, the official afterparty powered by Mary’s Poppin, transforms Synagogue Place into a glitter-drenched street rave of drag, DJs and dancefloor magic.

Armour & Alchemy Medieval Fair
1-2 November
Chainmail. Mead. A full Viking village in Wirrina Cove. This two-day seaside festival throws you into a world of leatherworkers, blacksmiths, re-enactors and artisans keeping old trades alive. Wander the stalls, warm up by the fire pits, shop for handmade wares, or catch live combat from historical groups like the Eastway Vikings and Warhounds. There’s a tavern, a genuine gypsy wagon, a roaming coffee van and a solid chance of goulash. Cloaks encouraged. Pets welcome. Fantasy fans, this is your moment.

Sidewood’s Sparkling Spring
1-2 November
This is how you do spring in the Hills. Sidewood brings two days of fizz, food and good times to Hahndorf – with DJs, dancing and garden party vibes on Saturday (adults only), and a more chilled tempo on Sunday with acoustic sets, kids’ entertainment and ice cream on arrival. There’ll be wood-fired pizzas, bites from the garden menu, and plenty of bubbles to go around. It’s laid-back, leafy, and guaranteed to melt away the stress.

Good Music Month
1-30 November
Live music. Local venues. One giant statewide vibe. Good Music Month returns with a stacked lineup of gigs, festivals and pop-ups celebrating South Australia’s music scene. From pubs and breweries to coastal towns and country halls, you’ll find everything from indie rock to hip-hop, jazz to electronica – plus a few surprise shows in unexpected places. It’s all about getting more people to more gigs. Ears open, playlist cleared: This is the perfect month to discover new SA acts to stan.

National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant
8 November
The elves are polishing the floats, the clowns are limbering up, and Father Christmas is clearing his calendar. That can only mean one thing: the southern hemisphere’s biggest pageant is about to roll through the heart of Adelaide, bringing the Christmas magic with it. Bruto — everyone’s favourite pink monster — is back, along with Izzy the dinosaur and two new floats: one featuring a giant dragon, the other filled with fairies and unicorns. The route winds from South Terrace to Rundle Mall. Bring chalk, snacks and your loudest “Hi Father Christmas!”

Handpicked Festival
8 November
Lake Breeze Wines turns it on again with a vineyard stage, open skies and a killer lineup: Hilltop Hoods, Xavier Rudd, Hot Dub Time Machine, Meg Mac and more. There’s wine bars, boutique cocktails, food trucks and makers’ markets — plus a premium experience with reserved seating and exclusive pours. Glamp overnight in Tent City, or kick back on a picnic rug between sets. Whether you’re there to sing along or lounge on the lawn, you’ll leave this Langhorne Creek event smiling.

Sounds in the Quarry
8 November
Thumping bass, desert rock, and a two-stage setup cut into ancient stone — this Riverland music fest is anything but low-key. Set against the raw backdrop of the Overland Corner quarry, the lineup spans 24 artists including Dimatic, Seek N Destroy, Ella & Sienna and LA-based producer Luke Noize. There’s free riverside camping, lights on the cliffs, and DJs keeping the tempo high from afternoon till late. This one’s 18+ and built for dancing.

Fashion Thrift Society Adelaide
9 November
It’s not just shopping – it’s a full-on festival of secondhand fashion, music and community energy. Australia’s biggest curated thrift market hits St Clair Recreation Centre in Woodville South with over 150 stalls, upcycled streetwear, handmade pieces and standout finds from local creatives. Expect DJs, photo booths, piercings, tarot readings, henna, nail bars and global eats – all wrapped in a party atmosphere that feels more like a gig than a garage sale. Outfits encouraged. Vibes guaranteed.

Adelaide Italian Festival
7-16 November
Ten days. More than 60 events. All the pasta, pizza and party energy you can handle. This year’s statewide celebration of Italian culture kicks off with a two-day laneway-style party at Festival Plaza, then takes over wineries, rooftops, cinemas and kitchens from Norwood to McLaren Vale. Ride and feast at La Grande Gita, paint and sip at an Italian rooftop session, enjoy the film fest, then wrap it up with a DJ-fuelled Sunday at Morphettville’s Ciao Ragazzi. Molto bene!

14-23 November
Welcome to the biggest beach volleyball event Asia or Oceania has ever seen – right in the heart of Adelaide. The Drive and Pinky Flat will transform into a multi-court arena and beach district for ten days of elite competition and festival energy. Think Olympic qualifiers, DJ sets, sunset sessions, giant sandpits and globally renowned food and wine. There’s even a kombi DJ and a cabana wine garden. Come for the games. Stay for the vibes.

Back to the Future in Concert
15 November
Where we’re going, we don’t need roads – but we do need a full orchestra. The cult 80s classic hits the big screen at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre – but this time, with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra performing Alan Silvestri’s score live. There’ll be lightning. There’ll be skateboards. There’ll be that iconic DeLorean. And yes – they’re including “Johnny B. Goode” and “The Power of Love” too. Great Scott, it’s going to be good.
