From the first bounce of AFL Gather Round to the last putt of LIV Golf Adelaide, April is set to be awesome. Think adrenaline-fuelled car races, top-tier equestrian competitions, an arts celebration among the vineyards, unforgettable live music and more!

1-30 April

This month-long extravaganza is a vibrant mix of music, art, workshops and performances. Discover an art trail linking 12 towns and 40 venues, markets, a secret candlelight symphony, and the battle of the bands – plus loads more.

AFL Gather Round

4-7 April

Gather your mates and live it up as this four-day footy festival hits town with 18 teams and nine games across the city and Adelaide Hills. Expect thrilling sporting action plus live music events, gourmet food and wine, and loads more off-field entertainment. Don’t miss your chance to be part of footy history.

Riverbend Nationals featuring Top Fuel

5-7 April

Hit the Dragway at The Bend for the electrifying Australian Top Fuel Championship. The last race featured near world-record times and 500+ km/h times, so high-speed thrills are guaranteed! Catch the National Drag Racing Championship events happening alongside the Top Fuel races, plus kids’ entertainment, stunt shows and live music.

SummerSalt presents Ocean Alley 

6 April

Bask in the good vibes at this outdoor live music festival featuring the psychedelic-surf-rock of Ocean Alley, Hockey Dad’s coastal tunes, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers’ defiant energy, plus Coterie’s reggae-rock. West Thebarton’s gritty anthems, Rum Jungle’s surf rock and Clews’ harmonious ballads round out an awesome day of Aussie music.

Norwood Food and Wine Festival

7 April

Celebrate South Aussie flavours at this free festival, coinciding with the AFL Gather Round. Explore The Parade’s local bars, cafes and top regional producers as they offer culinary treats ranging from five-star burgers and pizza to some of the state’s best fine dining. There’ll also be wine, beer and spirits available, alongside live music and entertainment. Plus, footy fans who missed out on a ticket to the game can enjoy the Richmond vs St Kilda match on big screens throughout The Parade precinct.

Sit back with a drink and a gourmet picnic while legendary Californian crooner Chris Isaak (the man behind iconic songs like Wicked Game and Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing) shows you why he’s still such a beloved live performer globally. 20-21 April

Australia’s ultimate military-style obstacle challenge comes to the Riverland! Created by ex-Special Forces personnel, this event tests your physical stamina and mental toughness. Choose from full or half courses (10km/30 obstacles or 5km/15 obstacles respectively) designed for a unique, gritty experience.

Salt offers an incredible program of performances, workshops, feasts and talks that will provide loads of entertainment for all ages during the April school holidays (hot top: bring the kids!).

LIV Golf Adelaide

26-28 April

13 teams. 52 players. 54 holes. LIV Golf Adelaide is back, bringing the heat with its electric mix of golf and party vibes. Catch top golfers like Cameron Smith and Jon Rahm in action, dive into the festival-style fan village, and get hyped with Tones and I plus DJ FISHER at the Après Golf Concerts. This is not your typical golf event!
