1-22 November
Feast is celebrating JOY this year, with more than 80 LGBTQIA+ events across Adelaide and regional SA. The free opening night street party kicks things off with live music and DJs, while Picnic in the Park returns to Whitmore Square/Iparrityi on 22 November, also with free entry. Multicultural Festival
1 November
Come hungry. Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga is hosting a free celebration of SA’s many cultures, with cooking demonstrations featuring a Vietnamese noodle salad, Indian-spiced potato fritters and Ghanaian doughnuts. Try your hand at Brazilian capoeira or Scottish ceilidh dancing, make an Indonesian batik print or meet Kira the giant puppet. There’s also a packed stage program featuring everything from Ukrainian Cossack dancers to Mexican folk performances. It’s a free afternoon of food, music and culture.

Coonawarra Running Festival
7 November
Run, walk or wobble your way past vineyards and red gums in Coonawarra wine country, all for a good cause. Serious runners can tackle the half marathon, with shorter distances for everyone else. Or gather your mates for the 5km Wobbly Winery Walk, with ‘drink breaks’ at five cellar doors and prizes for the best-dressed team. There’s also a family market and a gold-coin mini fun run for little legs at Coonawarra Memorial Park. The festival raises money for mental health programs in the Limestone Coast, with $108,000 raised over the past four years.

14 November
Burra has its very own yacht club, with one regatta a year and no actual yachts in sight. Instead, crews paddle their homemade creations down Burra Creek – from pirate ships and floating bathtubs to wobbly rafts that may or may not make it to the finish line. There’s $5000 in cash and prizes across junior, women’s, open and masters races, plus awards for Best Dressed and Best Built Boat. On dry land, there’s a tug-of-war, an ice cream eating competition, live entertainment, food stalls and a bar.

14 November
A music festival inside a 160-year-old stone quarry? Yes, please. Sounds in the Quarry returns to Overland Corner in the Riverland, with more than 20 artists across two stages, including Sunset Bros, Tazi, Seek N Destroy and Opposites Attract. The main stage sits inside the historic quarry, with music and lights filling the space from afternoon until late. This one’s strictly 18+, and free riverside camping is included with your ticket.

Coonawarra Woof & Wine Walk
14-15 November
Finally, a winery tour where your four-legged friend is invited too. Saturday’s self-guided walk takes you and your dog between six Coonawarra cellar doors, with wine tastings, gourmet snacks, live music, and even pup pedicures along the way. On Sunday, head to Rymill Coonawarra for Downward Dog Pup Yoga, complete with a croissant, sparkling wine and homemade dog treats. No dog? You’re welcome on the winery walk too.
