Tom Moore Abundant Wonder colouring book – JamFactory ($10) 

With his fantastical creations blending birds with cars, and animals with aeroplanes, Tom Moore is arguably Australia’s most out-there glass artist. While his original works go for seriously big bucks, for $10 you can buy a book full of them.

SACWA Calendar of Cakes cookbook ($11) 

Buy her the book, then steal a recipe from it and show up with both.The South Australian Country Women’s Association has been collecting recipes worth keeping for more than a century, and this book delivers.

FionaK organic splatter platter ($25) 

Handmade in Fiona’s Mitcham studio, this shallow ceramic platter is as useful as it is beautiful. Natural white with a black glaze splatter, each piece is unique and dishwasher safe. 

Red Cacao Hot Chokki spoons – four-pack (from $30) 

Here’s one for the sweet tooths! Each spoon is a chunk of proper chocolate (milk, dark, salted caramel, Aztec spiced or marshmallow) that you stir into hot milk until it melts into something truly delectable. Pick a five-pack of her favourite flavours and she’ll be sorted for the whole of winter.

This independent Stirling bookshop is known for matching readers to the right book. The voucher can be used online, but the real gift is a Hills day out together – Mount Lofty Botanic Garden, lunch, then let her loose in the shop.

A hands-on experience where you play winemaker for 75 minutes, working with three single-vineyard barrel samples to create your own version of the legendary Dead Arm Shiraz, then bottling 750ml to take home. Entry to the Cube’s Alternate Realities Museum is included, and you can add lunch at d’Arry’s Verandah to make a full day of it.

SA National Parks multi-park pass – 12 months ($125) 

A 12-month vehicle pass covering unlimited entry to ten of SA’s best national parks – from Belair and Deep Creek to Coffin Bay and Ikara-Flinders Ranges. Beaches, gorges, hiking trails and coastline, all year round. Grab your hiking boots and go with her.
